Aloe Vera – An Amazing RAW Food Plant!
Aloe Vera is a very versatile Healing Food Plant. So easy to grow – Indoors (all year) and Outdoors (Toronto Summertime). It acts as an Multi Agent in that it’s an Anti-Bacterial, Anti-biotic, Anti-Septic, Anti-Fungal, Anti-Inflammatory, Anti-Viral, Germicidal and a Disinfectant to name a few! WOW!
Just cut a leaf off from the Aloe Vera Plant and it heals itself – like it heals us!
It helps with: Cuts, Bruises, Bites, Sunburns or just plain itching. Cut off a leaf and squeeze out the gel onto your wound for instant relief (cooling effect) and healing, as it penetrates quickly through the skin.
Because Aloe Vera is almost 99% Water, it’s great for hydrating and rejuvenating the skin. I put it on my face as it helps increase the elasticity of the skin, as well as, oxygenates it. It is an Alkaline forming Food and therefore Alkalizes the Body! So, because it’s so good for you on the outside (soaking inside), it’s also great to drink it – this way, it goes into the rest of your Body and into the Blood Stream getting right to work in Healing, Repairing, Fixing and Fighting etc. The Aloe Plant is Full of Antioxidants, High in Amino Acids and Fatty Acids!
It is truly a Miracle Food Plant, so use it whenever you can!
It’s easy to add to your Smoothie, trim the prickly edges and throw it into the Vitamix.
As I always mention, I only use ORGANIC RAW Plant-Based Food. Keeping Food in it’s RAW State keeps the Enzymes and Nutrients in tact. The trouble is, we need to really chew and chew and chew to brake open the Amino Acids which Protein is made up of and are known as the Building Blocks of Life. Our Muscles need Protein and having these Smoothies and Juices help us build Muscle and by throwing Veggies it into the Vitamix and drinking it. The Vitamix chews it all up for you so it’s easier for your Stomach to Digest. Less work for you to do!
Throw whatever Veggies and Fruit you have (1/2 – 1/2 ratio) into the Vitamix and add an Aloe Leaf or two. You can actually make an entire Juice with Aloe Leaves – just add a little Orange Juice (for a bit of sweetness) and Filtered Water. Above I used for my Smoothie:
Baby Cucumber
Grated Carrot
Grated Beet
Blueberries
Almond Milk & Filtered Water
